Cracksealing is used to treat isolated random cracks that are ¼ inch to 1 ½ inches wide. Cracks are cleaned with hot, compressed air, then a hot, rubberized asphalt material is injected into the void. Cracksealing prevents surface water from migrating through a pavement structure and into the subgrade.
We always urge our clients to consider this maintenance approach for their parking lot(s) as it yields the best R.O.I. (Return on Investment).
Cracksealing can be completed year-round in the Carolinas as long as the asphalt lot is dry.
